Your guide to Olympic Snowboarding [INFOGRAPHIC]
Official Canadian Olympic Team Website | Team Canada | 2014 Winter OlympicsOur figure skaters were up next, and they did not disappoint. Great performances from Virtue/Moir, Kaetlyn Osmond, and Moore-Towers/Moscovitch helped Canada hold onto 2nd place overall in the Team event. They trail the host Russians by 6 points and have a 7 point lead on the Americans heading into the final day of the event.
The biggest event of Day 1 for Team Canada was women's moguls. Canada had four athletes competing in the 3-stage final. By the final stage there were two Canadians left, and they ended up on the top two steps of the podium. The youngest of the three Dufour-Lapointe sisters, Justine, took home the gold while her older sister Chloé followed right behind her to win silver.
I just spoke to Tessa, "I think the skate was actually pretty strong, of course the twizzle wasn't ideal. I thought our approach was pretty bang-on."Callum Ngvia Canadian Olympic Committee on Feb 8, 2014 at 11:14 AM

Justine Dufour-Lapointe definitely makes my list of best Olympic gold-medal celebration/reaction ever. She did the classy, Canadian move of congratulating her competitors, then you see her face when it kicked in that she just won Olympic gold. But, I still think Crosby's "Golden Goal" is still my #1 (check out this footage shot by Josh Binstock (London 2012 Canadian Summer Olympian in Beach Volleyball)The golden Goal
